The Republican Center for Emergency Medical Care under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established as a new independent structure within the Ministry of Health to implement measures aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of emergency medical care for the population, as stipulated by
Resolution No. PQ-283 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 16, 2022,
“On Improving the System of Providing Emergency Medical Care to the Population”
.
The Republican Center for Emergency Medical Care and its 14 regional branches were established on the basis of the emergency medical service and medical vehicle facilities, creating a unified vertical management system for emergency medical care.
In accordance with the Resolution, the main tasks of the Republican Center for Emergency Medical Care include:

coordinating and supervising emergency medical service activities throughout the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent City and the regions;

organizing, through the Center’s regional branches, the provision of emergency medical service personnel, specialized vehicles, spare parts, fuel and lubricants, medicines, consumables and medical equipment;

establishing situational coordination units within the Center and its regional branches to manage emergency medical service activities in districts, cities and regions based on analysis and to develop proposals for further improvement;

transferring emergency medical vehicles operated by vehicle facilities within the Ministry of Health system to the Center’s regional branches and arranging vehicle maintenance under outsourcing agreements;

monitoring the consumption of fuel and lubricants in emergency medical vehicles through an electronic system.
